Redistricting Petitions

Last week, the Florida Supreme Court gave the green light on the legality of the Fair Districts amendments. Now we need to collect 1.6 million petition signatures to get these amendments on the 2010 ballot and that's where you can play a critical role.

Please click here to download and sign the official petitions necessary to qualify the Fair Districts amendments for the ballot.

Every ten years, after the census, the boundaries of our congressional, state house and state senate districts are redrawn. This was originally intended to ensure that districts are roughly equal in population and that every vote counts equally. But the process has been hijacked by self-serving politicians.

The FairDistrictsFlorida.org amendments would establish constitutionally mandated fairness standards that will stop these lawmakers from drawing district lines that only benefit themselves.
