Why join our grassroots organization?

We invite you to join us in our efforts to make Tallahassee and Leon County stronger. Members of the League of Women Voters of Tallahassee (LWVT) have many opportunities to create an impact on local, state, and even national issues.

The League is a nonpartisan civic organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. Your membership gives LWVT the political influence needed to build a voice for citizens and a force for change.

We cover a broad spectrum of issues and concerns. You may choose your level of involvement, including joining a committee, participating in a study and action group, listening to a panel of experts or a speaker at our meetings, or reading about them in our publications and emails. Or, you may simply show your support by paying annual dues and/or donating. It’s up to you!
WHAT DO I GET?
In addition to receiving the new member welcome pack, you will receive all publications from the local, state, and national Leagues, including the LWVT newsletter (The Voter) and informational emails about activities, Hot Topic events and advocacy opportunities. You can also join our social media outlets: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter."
